I am disappointed in the new Gingerbread coffee. I don't usually drink coffee, but I went all-out and bought one because my co-workers were excited about the new holiday flavors. Even they wouldn't touch it. I took half of someone's Vanilla Spice instead. I asked the girl working @ DD about it and she admitted Vanilla Spice is actually just Cinnamon coffee and Vanilla coffee mixed together.

Also, Bacon Lovers should be a coffee flavor not a sandwich. It's listed right under the Iced Tea. I avoid bacon, but then again I also avoid coffee.

I have a theory that the Styrofoam cups change the way the coffee tastes. Pour hot liquid in...and something leaches out...and I hate the way it tastes & feels...eeew.
D&D's small coffee comes in a paper cup...so if i must....that's what I get. :P

Sat, April 26, 2008 - 5:53 PMThe donuts taste burnt, too. That is part of the DD magic. They add that special burnt trademark to everything. It's the taste that stay with you as you belch for the following 24 hrs.
Must have been difficult to duplicate that with the trans-fat removal. -

Just sayin.
And they have one or two jazz collections that seriously rock. I was a little surprised. -

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 4:24 PMYeah! The same thing happended to me when I moved to SF. Every time I'm in Boston I get sick just going into DD now. Coffee tastes burnt and the stores have this wierd chemical smell.
I think it's because I sold them some chilling equipment in another life and saw the mixing. Too much info...
